This conference will be held in a real-time Zoom Webinar format due to prolonged concern about the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, the specific theme of this year’s Hawaii Conference is “The COVID-19 Pandemic and Economic Activities”. Outstanding researchers from Australia, Hawaii, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan are scheduled to present their recent projects on the COVID-19 pandemic and economic activities. The keynote speaker is Dr. Victoria Baranov, an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne. Her research explores how health, psychological factors, and norms interact with poverty and economic development. Her research has been published in the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and many other top journals across multiple disciplines. Upon prior registration, anyone interested is welcome to audit the conference as an attendee of Zoom Webinar.
